As soon as things start getting way too much I close my eyes and remind myself that everything will be okay. If you don’t do it no one else will.
Sometimes we can try to convince ourselves that the knight with the white horse will miraculously show up and tell us everything will be OK, but we should stop waiting around and start being around ™️. For all the times we worry that something bad may happen or that we might fail we are depriving ourselves of moments that we’re meant to be living and being happy. Enjoy the moment!!!💁🏼♀️
Go for a walk when you feel like things are getting too much in your own mind, or better yet, think of things that make you happy in the present moment. A walk sounds like an old lady thing to do, but it’s not 😂 walks are really calming sometimes. Go on youtube and find good calming meditations. There are so many that may be valuable to you.
Take a deep ass breath and chill. I remember when it used to bug me if someone told me to chill. Now, I feel like I say this to myself all the time 🤷🏼♀️ It’s quite effective when you’re an over-thinker like myself. So tell yourself to chill the f*** out and get to doing just that.
Life doesn’t have to be as tough as we make it sometimes, the one line I say in almost all of these posts is, you can be your own worst enemy. So stop fighting against yourself and fight with yourself. There are things that are worth worrying about and things that aren’t and distinguishing between these two can be difficult, but they can be done.
So find yourself a coping technique, something you do that tells your over-thinking mind, Whoaw there, please calm down and reassess.💆🏼♀️
To lessen this freaking out effect something as simple as keeping your routine in check is a good place to start. Are you eating well?? Are you getting in all of your nutrients and feeding yourself effectively. Think of yourself much like a plant, if you don’t water it, it dies. Same thing happens to your mind, body and soul. If you don’t feed it with the proper nutrients, rest, mental development and growth, you too die🙈 a bit drastic, but also very true.
So please keep yourself alive and feed yourself at least 5 times a day, and have enough sleep. Take time to meditate and reflect. Plan your days and make sure that you try to stay positive, even if things aren’t looking up.🌱
