It’s all in the Balance

You’re probably wondering why the title of this post is the same as my blog name.

It’s to reiterate the reason why I started this blog. All of us are a combination of many things, and these things are mainly experiences, and how we managed to get through them, forming our characters. So, in order to continually grow we have to take a number of things into account. You know that a car cannot run without fuel🙈 (such a common analogy, I know, but bear with me)

The same is true for us, we have to find a way to balance our physical health, with our mental health and still maintain some humanity by enjoying life.

This is why I started the blog, to discuss things that people may be struggling through , whether it be mentally or physically💙

When you continually hear that it’s good to maintain a balance in life, you may ask yourself, ” OK, but how?”

That’s the thing, there is no clear answer, cause everyones circumstances differ and everyone’s interests and lives differ in big ways. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s not my intention to confuse you more, but I want you to know that finding your balance is what makes this life so exciting. We get to pave our own way in this world. Develop ourselves, grow and learn about who we want to be and what we want to do 😁 Now that’s exciting news!!

Where do you start?

First of all, grab yourself a pen and paper and write down where you see yourself in 5 years. It’s not a plan that has to be followed, it’s a prospective idea of where you see yourselves. Someone that gave me guidance said to me that you have to use this life to fill your metaphorical grocery cart. 🛒 Fill it with all the things that you will need to equip you to get to where you want to be.

Write down the skills you would like to obtain to become the best at your job at the moment and that will assist you in the future. Then pen down all the things you would like to achieve in your personal life. Do you want kids, do you want to own a yacht and live in Monaco? 🎉

I’ve recently dived into the book written by David Schwartz, called ‘The Magic of Thinking BIG”, and it had opened up a whole world of possibility for me. The way he describes that we are what we think, struck me. How many times have I not down-graded myself in believing I couldn’t achieve something?

Think big and achieve big !! Then I realized, that moving to a foreign country for a job that combines health, wellness and nutrition and, following through with a big dream I had for myself not that long ago was my first step towards success. I had a big dream, one that many people at home would’t have seen as realistic, but it shows that if you believe in something enough and you take the steps towards reaching your goals, you are much wiser than the big dreamer with no intention of following through 🙈

It’s all good and well, but what about me?

You get to dream big and make plans to achieve your dreams. Every single day is an opportunity, to make a difference in the future of your life. If you’re frustrated at work, take a notepad and tell yourself which little things you can equip yourself with to make the day less crappy! It seems silly, but at the end of the day, you’ll never know if you never try.

Confidence is key. You’ve heard this, right? Well it’s painful to say that it’s pretty accurate, theres a reason why the saying exists. Believing in yourself isn’t a light switch that you can just turn on and off , it’s hard work, it’s a continuous inner struggle to keep yourself from harboring negative thoughts and keep on reminding yourself that you are worth all the dreams you want to achieve.

You are GREAT!

In case no one has told you this today, here it is! You are, and you are destined to do great things! Please believe in yourself. You are a capable person and you deserve to be happy everyday, even if it’s just for a moment. Be mindful and speak positively to and about yourself and you will see a change 💙💙💙
