Self-care, self-awareness, self-talk and being selfish is not the same thing. You need all of those things to be a better version of yourself and for others around you.
I went to a Conscious Movement Conference this weekend and I realised how we tend to ignore our body’s needs. We get so caught up in others expectations of us, that we forget about our own well-being.
Don’t forget that you can only be the best version of yourself and exude the right kind of energy if you know what you deserve. You command a certain type of attention by thinking a certain kind of way about yourself.

Becoming more in tune with your body’s needs requires you to be honest with yourself. Are you spending some time of the day asking yourself how your body feels? What it needs? Where it feels comfortable and where it doesn’t? I sure don’t.
In order for you to connect with your body more there are a few you can do, including; Taking a moment before the day starts to just do some mindful body scanning, silently connecting to what your body needs. I am sure that if you really listen and start noticing how different foods make you feel. How material on your skin makes you feel and even how certain people make you feel, you can learn more about what you need. What you allow into your life affects you way more than you know.

I dare you to just take today, to notice what you feel. If certain situations or topics of conversation makes you feel anxious, notice what emotions come up. Why is it that these things, people, situations makes the body react the way it does.
Hope you have a lovely, mindful day
